Blood and Black Lace

Mario Bava
Italy
1964
I remember watching blood And Black Lace on the big screen quite a few years ago now and being blown away by just how brutal and violent a film it was, especially since it was released in the 60's! Here again on dvd in a remasted uncut european version, with original opening credit sequence which was changed for the US release. This film Is a true classic of the genre and has lost none of its power to shock and surprise. Mario Bava trully was a master movie maker and this is regarded as one of his finest films. The story of a fashon house with some deep secrets, secrets somebody will kill to keep that way, as the models are bumped off one by one and the police try to catch the killer you'l be kept guessing as to who did it. This came as a two disc edition with mostly passable extras but the commentery by Tim Lucas from Video watchdog is so in depth its incredible the research he must have put into this one, top marks. This is a US release but is thankfully region free for those with locked players. All horror and Giallo fans should put this to the top of thier must have lists |
