Still the definitive release of the all time classic zombie opus. This includes all three versions of the movie for completists. With extras on each disc and also with a fourth disc of documentary. Until someone releases a comparable blu-ray edition this dvd set will rule supreme with collectors. The recently released Arrow version on blu-ray is pretty good also with some extras not included in this set but also missing some from this set. I'm going to pick up that version as soon as i can, you can never review enough versions of this film right? The packaging on this release is fantastic and opens up into a foldout book of the dvd's, inside there is a taster of the comic book adaptation of the film and a small booklet which lists all four discs with complete contents.Also of interest is the plan views of both levels of the mall. Anchor Bay did this classic justice with this release and I can only hope its not too long before someone re masters all three versions of the film In hd for a new ultimate edition.

There are commenteries on all three of the film discs with the theatrical cut getting the best treatment with George Romero, Tom Savini and Chris Romero.

The European Cut comes close second with the actors David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott H Reiniger and Gayleen Ross...awesome

The Extended cut gets commentery by Producer Richard P Rubinstein, moderated by dvd producer Perry Martin.

So between them a pretty comprehensive mix of commenteries to tell you everything you could possibly want to know about all aspects of the movie.

As a side note its worth getting the other version of "Dawn" for the commentary not in this collection, a seperate Tom Savini track that he recorded on his own for a previously cut UK version. Its easy to find on amazon, the covers to look out for are these.
